Our Portfolio

As of December 31, 2022, Fidus Investment Corporation had debt and equity investments in 76 portfolio companies with an aggregate fair value of $860.3 million. The investment portfolio on a cost basis was comprised of 55% first lien debt, 26% second lien debt, 12% subordinated debt and 7% equity-related securities. As of December 31, 2022, we held equity investments in 74% of our portfolio companies, and the average fully diluted equity ownership in those portfolio companies was 4%.
